Willis HRH Appoints Gamble National Producer to Drive U.S. Growth
New York, June 18, 2009 - Willis HRH, the North American retail division
of Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, has named Tom Gamble
National Producer, effective immediately. Based in New York, Gamble will be responsible
for new business development, enhancing client retention, expanding existing relationships, and
driving cross-selling opportunities with large, multinational clients based in the United States.
He will report to Joe Gunn, Chief Growth Officer of Willis HRH.
“Tom has been appointed as one of a cadre of national producers whose remit it
is to work across our 200-plus local markets and 19 industry segments to
identify growth opportunities, and to draw all of the Group’s vast resources
together to deliver outstanding service to our clients,” said Gunn. “Tom’s vast experience in
the financial and executive risk arena, his extensive contacts with large, multinational companies and
his proven track record of growing business will be an asset to our clients
and to Willis.”
With more than 20 years in the insurance industry, Gamble was formerly the President
of the M&A and Structured Solutions Group at Zurich Financial Services. At Zurich,
he built and managed the global M&A team focusing on property, casualty, financial lines,
environmental and transactional products. He also ran the Structured Solutions Group, an industry leader
in multi-line and multi-year programs.
Before joining Zurich in 2007, he was an Executive Vice President at Arch
Insurance Group, in charge of the Executive Assurance division. Earlier in his career, Gamble
held senior roles at The Hartford Financial Services Group and Reliance National
Insurance. He began his career with insurance broker Frank Crystal & Company, before moving
to the carrier side.
