São Paulo, Brazil, January 7, 2009 - Willis International, a unit of Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of Edward Fyfe as Managing Director of its growing Latin American reinsurance operations, effective immediately. Based in Lima, Peru, he will report to Eugenio Paschoal, CEO, Willis Latin America.

In his new role, Fyfe will oversee all of the company's reinsurance offices in Latin America, continuing to work closely with Willis Global Markets International and Willis Global Specialties on single-risk business. Fyfe also will ensure that the offices continue to support Willis Re in the further development of its treaty portfolio.

Fyfe joined Willis in London as a graduate in 1984 and was integral in building and opening the company's reinsurance operations in Peru, Venezuela and Brazil, serving as Executive Director in Caracas and Managing Director in Rio de Janeiro.

Fyfe also held roles at Willis Global Markets International in Miami, where he was responsible for property and energy, before taking on his current role as Regional Marketing Officer (RMO) for Latin America, responsible for carrier relationships and placement strategy. In addition to his responsibilities as Reinsurance Managing Director for Latin America, Fyfe will continue in his role as RMO, maintaining client-facing opportunities relating to energy.
